Remedies for Hydrocele and Varicocele: Silica

Hydrocele and varicocele are two issues affecting male patients that will also interfere with the possibility of conceiving babies. Silica is a natural ingredient that can be used to cure hydrocele and increase the fertility of the patient.

Silica

Silica is also known as silicon dioxide, which is a chemical commonly found in sand or quartz. Silica is commonly used to manufacture glass, optical fibers, ceramic clay or cement.

Silicon is an abrasive material, so it may be used in the making of certain toothpaste that removes plaque. However, the silicon should be treated prior to adding it to toothpaste. Silicon dioxide is also used in the manufacture of foods as a flow agent, being an efficient absorbent, especially in powdered foods.

Silica can be used when extracting DNA and RNA. However, silica can be used in alternative medicine also. When using silicon dioxide compounds for treatment, it is important to know that silica powder can be dangerous for health.

Silica for Male Fertility

Silicon dioxide can be used in homeopathy in various dilutions. For male fertility, silica is particularly effective for treating hydrocele, which is an accumulation of liquids in the scrotum area. In addition to being a cure for hydrocele, silica can also be used to treat other problems of the male reproductive system:

  • Rashes and irritation in the genital area
  • Gonorrhea
  • Scrotum encephalitis
  • Unconscious release of spermatic fluid
  • Soreness of genital organs

The silicon dioxide will be prepared in a dilution which will be administered twice per day. The treatment will have to be administered for several months and results may start to show after a few weeks. However, the homeopath may mix the silica with additional ingredients, which are determined according to the general state of health of the patient. The homeopath may find an underlying condition leading to fertility problems and hydrocele and recommend a solution that will be tailored according to each patient’s needs in part.

The dilution will have variable concentrations, as recommended by the homeopath. First, the homeopath will prescribe a dilution that has a low concentration of silica and other plant, mineral or animal extracts. In time, as the body gets used to the compounds of the dilution, the concentration will be gradually increased. Once the patient shows signs of improvement, the concentration can stagnate and then slowly decrease, until the patient gets a placebo dilution with no active ingredients.

Health Problems and Silicon Dioxide

When inhaled, silica dust can result in the development of silicosis (which is a disease affecting the lungs, making them dysfunctional), bronchitis and even lung cancer. Silica doesn’t dissolve in time and will accumulate in the lungs.

However, the homeopathic dilutions that contain silica are liquid and the silica is unlikely to be inhaled and deposited in the lungs. Silicon dioxide is only dangerous when inhaled. However, the patient should carefully clean the recipients that contain silica dilutions.
