John E. Nichols, MD, FACOG is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of infertility.  Dr. Nichols completed his Reproductive Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.  He completed Residency and Internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham after graduating with honors from the Medical College of Georgia.  Dr. Nichols established Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group in 2003, in order to provide his patients exceptional, private, cost effective caring infertility treatments.  Dr. Nichols is a member of the AMA, ASRM, and ACOG to name a few.  He has published many medical articles and has been on a multitude of research projects. 

John F. Payne, MD, FACOG joined PREG in 2007 after a distinguished 15 year military career.  He is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist specializing in infertility treatments. Dr. Payne completed his Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Duke University Medical Center.  Dr. Payne completed an Ob/Gyn internship and residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, WA.  He is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Payne has held many academic appointments and has performed extensive research. He has had many publications and presentations at national conferences.

Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group (PREG) provides complete diagnostic testing and infertility treatments including In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Donor IVF, Blastocyst Transfers, ICSI, and Frozen Embryo Transfers.  We also offer Intrauterine Inseminations and have an on-site andrology lab to perform semen analysis and endocrine blood testing.   PREG now has the capability to perform in office Hysterosalpingograms (HSG) in our Greenville facility.  Our fully accredited surgical suite allows our patients the option of having tubal reversal surgery in a safe, cost effective, private setting.  PREG also has acupuncture, hypnosis and psychotherapy professionals available.
