If you suspect that you may be pregnant you should go to your local pharmacy and purchase a home pregnancy test. These tests are a safe, inexpensive way to determine whether or not you are pregnant. You should see a doctor if the test is positive, or if you aren't sure, because your doctor can perform a more accurate pregnancy test.
False Positive If your home pregnancy test is positive, but your doctor ran a blood test and it reads false there could be a few reasons for inconsistencies. If you've taken any type or form of fertility drugs, you won't be able to use a home pregnancy test, because it will read positive. Sometime when your urine dries quickly on the chemical strip it can resemble a positive sign. If you don't read the pregnancy test in the recommended time frame, leaving the test to sit longer than stated, could also cause a false positive reading.
But if you are pregnant than grab a pen and paper and make a pregnancy to do list. Include some of the following:
• Make an appointment with obstetrician
• Make list of any meds that you are taking to tell your doctor and ask if you can still take them while you're pregnant
• If you smoke or drink alcohol, now is the time to quit
• If you stop for that morning latte, you'll need to cut back or quit
• Get prenatal vitamins
• Buy fresh fruits and vegetables - eat healthier
• Enjoy your pregnancy
You're pregnant, you are bringing a new life into this world, enjoy every minute of the process that you can. Shop for baby furniture and clothes, have celebratory lunches and dinners with your friends. This is meant to be a fun time, enjoy it. Try to relax as much as possible. Get a massage, put your feet up, eat healthy, and take your prenatal vitamins.
Take the time to prepare yourself for the new changes in your life. Call your doctor if you are experiencing any problems and take the time to adjust to all of the changes that are occurring in and out of your body and in your life as well. Take those naps before the baby comes, because once your baby makes an entrance, sleep may be something of the past at least for a few months.
