About Sex Selection

Many couples who have be unsuccessful in becoming pregnant on their own often turn to infertility treatments. As a part of this treatment some couples want to select the sex of their baby, one such procedure is sperm selection.

The sperm selection procedure occurs when the sperm is spun down to separate x sperm (female) from y sperm (male). The sex selected sperm is then used to fertilize the egg.

Sex selection can be costly but sperm selection is one of the cost effective solutions generally running around $400-$600. Sperm selection usually has a success rate of 60%.
