How is your "cycle" for IVF determined after a partial hysterectomy?
I had a partial hysterectomy last year due to multiple fibroids, but have both ovaries intact. How does one determine the "cycle" to begin in vitro fertilization (IVF) or surrogacy?

The simplest way to begin is to buy some over-the-counter ovulation predictor kits like Ovuquick or Clear Plan Easy. I believe Target has some of the best prices for these. Begin testing for ovulation daily. Note on a calendar the date of ovulation, then call your clinic and have the baseline labs (FSH and Estradiol) done 17 days later. That will be approximately day 2 or 3 of your hormonal menstrual cycle. Your clinic may want you to start an oral contraceptive a few days after that. Hope this helps.
