I'm 38 years old and am considering a tubal reversal. Would this procedure be right for me at my age?

Tubal reversal is a terrific procedure and dependent on the tubal ligation you had, can have very high pregnancy rates. However, whether it is the right procedure for you or not should be determined by getting more pertinent clinical information. I would encourage you to have a consultation with a reproductive surgeon who can assist you in arriving at the best treatment option.

Tubal reversal is certainly possible at age 38 and is more successful than the alternative treatment of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Depending on the specific type of tubal ligation you had, your chances of becoming pregnant
again will range from 62 to 73 percent.
