I would love to have a tubal reversal as soon as possible. I'm a 40 year old who had her tubes tied in 1994. Is it too late to have the procedure?

Thank you for your question. No, it is not too late to do a reversal. As long as you are ovulating and your partner has a normal sperm count, it is worth it. Certainly, how aggressive you want to be depends on the overall history. That is, you may also consider in vitro fertilization (IVF) if you wish. Still, many successful tubal reversals have been done on women in their early forties.

It is not too late to have a tubal reversal at age 40. Some fertility clinics are able to give one in three women (age 40) a successful chance at becoming pregnant after the reversal surgery.
