Why can't I qualify as an egg donor?

I am 18yrs old, blonde hair, blue eye, 5'3, and 118 - 120lbs. A lot of places want 21-30yr/o people with brown hair and brown eyes, and I therefore don't qualify. I really need money for school, and I need to make payments on a car. Why do my features disqualify me as a candidate?

I would think many clinics or agencies won't disqualify you based on blonde hair and blue eyes. You may just be looking at clinics who have enough of that type of donor and don't need any more at this time. It does vary from place to place, however. Unfortunately, most agencies do require that you be 21 since it is such a big decision to be an egg donor. If you wait until you are 21, you may have better options to where you can apply and the characteristics they are looking for will likely have changed by then.

This is a big decision. Most IVF centers require the donor be 21 years old, for it is believed that at this age the woman is more capable of making an informed decision. Wait until you are 21; you will be a good donor then too.
