Can preimplantation genetic diagnosis ensure I will not pass on my genetic mutation?

I have the genetic mutation BRCA2. I really want to start a family but do not want to pass on my gene and make them go through what I have. My Mother, Grandmother, and aunt all died from this mutation. Can PGD ensure that I will not pass it on?

Hi, yes, PGD identifies if any embryos have this gene mutation. There also is a new test we offer which is even more accurate in detecting diseases, etc.

Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, PGD can absolutely help you to have a pregnancy that is not affected by the mutation. If you would like to meet with one of our doctors I can help you with a consultation
