Can staphylococcus aureus cause infertility in people with HIV?

I am HIV positive and have been trying to conceive, but to no avail. I had a HSG test, and it found that I had an infection caused by staphylococcus aurues. It has since been treated. Could this bacterium cause infertility in people with HIV?

Any pelvic infection can cause the reproductive organs to become a "toxic" environment for a pregnancy. Speak with your doctor to see whether there are any additional steps you need to take to ensure that the infection has cleared.

Staph infections are generally skin-related and not related to pelvic infections. If you had normal HSG, then damage to tubes should not be present. Not sure if having Staph with HIV is more worrisome. May need to consult an infectious disease expert.

I don't closely track my periods any more. After doing the math I am fairly certain I had unprotected sex with my husband during ovulation. Seven days later, I experienced what I now think was implantation bleeding and my period is not due for 2 more days (which is 4 days from when I think I had implantation bleeding). I also recall feeling "pregnancy tired" the other day. I didn't think further about it because I had a tubal ligation. But now I wonder, is there any chance I could be pregnant?
