I had a Pomeroy Parkland tubal ligation where 2.8 cm was removed from one of the tubes and 2.0 cm was removed from the other. Can I get a reversal?

Typically, the Pomeroy tubal ligation can be reversed as long as there is enough normal tube left. Seventy-five percent of women with tubes longer than 4 cm will conceive, compared with less than 20% if the tube is <4 cm. Based on the lengths provided, you are probably a candidate for a reversal. Your chances of pregnancy after a reversal also depend greatly on your age and your ovarian reserve, so I would recommend having this tested before your surgery. Women <30 years old have an approximately 75% pregnancy rate after tubal reversal, whereas women 35 and older only have a <50% chance of conceiving.
