I had my tubes tied after my 4th child that I conceived while being on birth control. What is the likelihood of getting pregnant after trying IVF?

I'm trying to decide if I should save up for IVF, or have a tubal reversal. I know that IVF has a greater risk of multiples and I am OK with that. I have a normal menstrual cycle, and I've never had a problem with fertility. The only thing I'm worried about is if I get the reversal, I would have to go on birth control. What is your opinion on these two options?

Of course, your physician could discuss both options of Tubal Reversal & IVF and the potential success of each treatment. Tubal Reversals are successful about 60% of the time in women under the age of 35 when no other fertility complications are noted. You should bring your Medical/Pathology report from your Tubal Ligation to your appointment. The physician will complete a diagnostic work up to evaluate current fertility and then discuss all options including Tubal Reversal, Simply IVF and IVF.
