IUI, at best, has a 16% success rate. With an already compromised tube, I would recommend moving straight to IVF, as it is a more successful option.

It is a good possibility that you may be a candidate for IUI if your other tube is not blocked. We have treated many patients who only have one functioning fallopian tube, but ultrasound monitoring around the time of ovulation is needed to ensure the woman is actually ovulating from the ovary on the side where she has a functioning tube; otherwise, it would not be beneficial to do an IUI that particular month.
