I'd like to have a child through surrogacy. Is it likened to adoption? How do I get started with an agency?

A simple Google search not only brings up 0 results for agencies, it tells me there is no law regarding surrogacy for my state. Is surrogacy likened to adoption? What do I do in this case? Specifically for a gestational surrogacy.

Thank you for your question. It is my opinion that the best place to look is not agencies. They increase the cost of surrogacy. Some clinics across the U.S. have their own surrogacy programs. The best states for gestational surrogacy arrangements from a legal point of view are Florida and California. Pick a clinic you like and register with them. Like us, they may have eager parents ready to match.
