I'm 45 and gave birth to a healthy baby girl 17 months ago. I know I could still get pregnant. Can I donate my eggs? I believe they are still good.

Unfortunately not. Women are born with all the eggs they will ever have, so a woman's eggs are as old as she is. As women grow older, so do their eggs. This means that the frequency for abnormalities increase with age.

The cutoff age to donate eggs is 30.

Unfortunately. most clinics don't accept donors past their early 30s due to the high risk of chromosomal abnormalities as your eggs age, such as Down Syndrome. The ideal egg donor is in their 20s.
