Donors & SurrogacyIn vitro fertilization (IVF) can be performed using a couple's own eggs and sperm or with donor eggs, sperm, or embryos. If a couple must have someone else carry the pregnancy due to health or other reasons, they also may choose to use a gestational carrier or surrogate. Servy Massey Fertility Institute provides fertility treatment for patients using donor or surrogacy options. Patients who might use a donor include couples having problems with their own sperm or eggs, couples with a genetic disease, or a woman who has reached menopause or whose ovaries are not functioning properly.

Fertility PreservationFertility preservation helps women, men and children overcome infertility that may come with disease diagnoses – mainly cancer. Women suffering from other diseases, such as ovarian cysts, family history of early menopause, lupus, and Turner syndrome, and galactosemia, may also benefit from fertility preservation efforts.
Fertility Testing: Female
The cause of infertility can be tested through special imaging, blood tests, hormone levels, and other procedures. Special imaging tests can be performed through a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) or sonohysterogram to view the uterine cavity.
Fertility Testing: Male
A man's fertility is determined by sperm quality, production, and movement. Servy Massey Fertility Institute performs semen analysis, postcoital test, and prolactin hormone test are used to evaluate the sperm.
Gender Selection
Though gender selection is possible with current technology, preimplantation sex selection is only appropriate to avoid the birth of children with genetic disorders, and is not performed for non-medical reasons.
Genetic Screening
Preimplantation Genetic Screening and Diagnosis is a test on an embryo to uncover genetic diseases that may be inherited from the parents and may decrease the risk of genetic disease.
ICSI
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) can be used to inject a single sperm into an egg to enable fertilization if a man's sperm cannot penetrate the outer layer of the egg due to problems with the sperm.
IUI
Intrauterine insemination (IUI), also known as artificial insemination (AI), is a non-surgical procedure that places prepared sperm cells into the woman’s uterus to produce a pregnancy.
IVFIn Vitro Fertilization (IVF) combines a man's sperm with a woman's egg in a laboratory dish, and the resulting embryo (fertilized egg) is implanted in the woman's uterus. IVF is an effective way to overcome multiple infertility issues to achieve pregnancy. It is one of the more popular and most recommended infertility treatments because of its high success rates.
LGBT Family Building
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual couples have essentially the same choices in assisted reproductive technologies as straight couples at Servy Massey Fertility Institute. Our reproductive specialists provide IUI and IVF treatment options using sperm donation, egg donation and gestational surrogates to support LGBT family building.
Male Infertility Treatment
In order to achieve pregnancy, egg fertilization must occur, which depends on the sperm being properly shaped, possessing good health, and having the ability to rapidly move toward the egg. About one-half of infertile men have treatable causes.
