30 Weeks Pregnant

Your 30 weeks pregnant and it seems like you've been pregnant forever! And you only have 10 more weeks until you baby will make its entrance into this world. If this is your first baby, spend some quality time with your mate, before the baby comes. It won't be long until you will wonder what 'alone time' is all about.

You're getting bigger and bigger by the day which means that you are becoming slower and clumsier. You are probably uncomfortable a majority of the time, if you are experiencing problems sleeping, you should try to sleep on your left side, it may help.

30 Week Experiences

• Constipation

• Heartburn

• Indigestion

• Stretch marks

Did you know that right now your baby can pee about a half a liter into the amniotic fluid every day?

Your baby at 30 weeks

• If you are having a boy, his testicles have moved from near the kidneys through the groin on their way to the scrotum.

• If you are having a girl, the clitoris appears large and exposed because it is not yet covered by the folds of the skin called the labia.

• Your baby's head is getting larger.

• Your baby can open and shut his or her eyes, but most of the time they are open and looking around.

In preparation for breathing after birth, your baby will mimic breathing movements by repeatedly moving the diaphragm. These movements are rhythmic and may even cause your baby to get a case of the hiccups if amniotic fluid is accidentally inhaled. This is normal, no worries!

If you are experiencing, severe headaches, seeing spots or flashing lights while at rest, an increase in swelling, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and feeling sick, these are symptoms of preeclampsia and you should contact your doctor right away.
