How does sex selection work?

I am 33 yrs old and my boyfriend is 50. I have never had a problem with fertility, as I already have 4 boys. For the past six years I've had an IUD in, but my boyfriend has no children and we would like to have a baby girl together. How does sex selection work? Is it costly?

To do sex selection, you would have to do IVF with PGS. The typical IVF cycle costs approx $16,000 with the additional costs of embryo biopsy and testing (PGS) of about $7,000.
