I had a BTL doubly ligated and transected. Can I still have a tubal reversal?

The specimen consists of right tube 1.7x0.6cm; left tube1.6x0.7cm. Repersentative sections of right and left fallopian tubes are submitted in a single cassette. Can I still have a tubal reversal?

The success of reversal of tubal ligation is dependent on the way the tubes were ligated and how much normal tube remains. If the measurements provided are from the pathology report of your tubal ligation, it is likely that you still have plenty of remaining fallopian tube left to reattach the cut ends. One caveat to keep in mind is that parts of the remaining tubes may be scarred or damaged, so assessment intra-operatively is still key.

This is a normal specimen. Yes, a reversal is an option.

I had the Hulka clips put on during a tubal ligation procedure when I was 24 years old. I am now 30 and my husband and I want another child. We are uncertain if my irregular periods are being caused by some of the Hulka clips coming off, or maybe the tube has grown around them. Is this likely and would either cause irregular periods? Also, would tubal reversal be a good option if we are considering having another child?
