I had my tubes clamped with a little micro machine. I don't remember what it is called though. Nonetheless, I want to get the clamp off so that I can try to become pregnant. I am married and seriously want to have a baby with my husband. How much trouble would it be to get my tubes unclamped? If I do this, what are my chances of getting pregnant?

Hi, and thanks for your question. There's a very small possibility of pregnancy following tubal ligation, so you MUST undergo a sensitive pregnancy test and assume there's a possibility of pregnancy until proven otherwise. Also, IF you are in fact pregnant, you would be at an increased risk for a tubal or ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in the fallopian tube), and that would necessitate urgent treatment if that happens. There are other possible reasons for being late including, and not limited to, a cyst on the ovary, a hormone imbalance, or perimenopause. I hope this helps!
