My wife and I have not been able to get pregnant. When should we get tested?

It has been 3 months since we began trying.

Generally speaking, a couple under the age of 35 who have been trying unsuccessfully to become pregnant for a year or longer should see a fertility specialist. A couple over 35 years of age and have been trying over 6 months without success should see a fertility specialist.
