How much trouble would it be to get my tubes unclamped?

I had my tubes clamped with a little micro machine. I don't remember what it is called though. Nonetheless, I want to get the clamp off so that I can try to become pregnant. I am married and seriously want to have a baby with my husband. How much trouble would it be to get my tubes unclamped? If I do this, what are my chances of getting pregnant?

The cutoff age for tubal reversal is less important than the likelihood of pregnancy given any patient's age. It is increasingly more difficult to get pregnant from age 35, so that by age 42 or greater the chance of a
pregnancy is less than 5%. Therefore, if a patient is otherwise healthy at age 44, even though from a surgical perspective she may be OK, most reproductive surgeons would not recommend doing a tubal reversal since
conception rates and subsequent live births are so rare. Bottom line, there is no absolute cutoff except maybe a menopausal female for obvious reasons.

Fertility doctors often talk about egg donor IVF programs when patients pass 41 years of age.
