PGD/PGS is a fantastic diagnostic test. It allows an embryologist to only transfer genetically normal embryos, therefore increasing your live birth opportunity. There is no way to alter ones genetics. The doctor may recommend a protocol to allow for greater overall embryos in order to try increase the potentials.

The only thing that will increase the chance of success with PGD is a higher # of embryos. The more embryos available for biopsy, the better chance of having a normal embryo. But basically, nothing can really increase chances.
